Reasons to Celebrate This April

Golf Party EnsembleWith Easter coming early this year and summer still a couple months away it may not seem like there’s much reason to party this April. There’s always something to celebrate though! Here’s a couple of our favorite reasons to celebrate this April.

April 10th is Golfer’s Day, the perfect day for a company, family, or neighborhood golf outing! ShindigZ has plenty of fantastic decorating items for making your golfing day a real party. For example, place a golf bag mylar balloon on each table or tie them to the backs of chairs or golf carts for a fun, festive look. The Golf Ensemble makes your tables look fantastic, especially when you cover them with green tablecovers or grass mats for a putting green look. The ensemble includes tons of tableware items including plates and napkins. Package party favors in the small golf favor box and fill it up with green shred for a great doorprize or parting gift. Check out our Golf Party TipZ for more ideas.

April 23rd is National Picnic Day. For this holiday, we suggest hosting a picnic. This is a perfect party for an office lunch-break, classroom, or family outing. Stock up on picnic supplies like tablecovers you can spread out on tables or the ground (gingham patterned is a classic!), plastic tableware or the tableware ensemble in our fun BBQ theme pattern, and, to make the party extra-special, create bunches of latex balloons and attach them to balloon weights. You can place them on the ground around your picnic area to bring a fun touch to the event. Remember, balloons look best in bunches of odd numbers. Check out our BBQ Party TipZ for more ideas!

Another wonderful reason to celebrate this April is Red Hat Society Day on April 25th. This is a national day to celebrate women, specifically women in the Red Hat Society. Host a chapter party or a small gathering for friends. ShindigZ has tons of red and purple decorations perfect for setting the tone of the event—tableware, streamers, balloons, confetti, feathers and lush gossamer perfect for swags and other accents. Plus, your guests will love our Red Hat-themed accents like the Red Hat Society boa, purple snifter glasses (which make fabulous favors), tiaras and pearl beaded necklaces. You just can’t go over the top with this event, so have fun with it! We’d love to hear about how you decorate for your Red Hat Society party.

Reasons to Celebrate in March

Toga Party AccessoriesMarch is a fun month of the year. The weather’s starting to turn toward spring, lots of schools have their spring vacations, and there’s a lot of good sporting events. There’s no shortage of reasons to celebrate in March. Here’s some of our favorites:

Celebrate International Working Women’s Day at your place of employment with a party for the ladies in your office. Vote on a fun theme, such as a luau or barn bash or decorate the office with garden accessories like floral garlands, paper lanterns and streamers, for a festive look. Have all the men in the office bring in desserts or snacks to share and serve them on a tableware ensemble in a festive color scheme or that matches your theme.

“Beware the Ides of March!” The Ides of March is on the 15th and famous thanks to Shakespeare’s Julius Ceasar. Get in the spirit by hosting a toga party. Decorate your party space with columns, ivy garland, vines and personalized vinyl banners with a Toga Party design. Have guests arrive in their togas and hand out sunglasses or laurel wreathes at the door. This is a classic party idea and a ton of fun. Check out our Toga Party TipZ for more ideas.

March 30th marks the anniversary of the Eiffel Tower opening in 1889. Celebrate the landmark with a Parisian themed party.
