Princess Ideas for Her Girls Birthday Party

She’ll Always Be Your Princess!

“Yes, my Lady, your company eagerly awaits you and desires your presence!” Age matters not, because girls love to be treated like princesses. Whether they are gallantly riding horses in open meadows and fields, dancing merrily while hoping to meet prince charming or dining elegantly in serene surroundings, a princess party is the ultimate foundation for dozens of girl’s birthday party ideas.

Planning the Perfect Princess Party

Princesses have their own personalities, preferences and desires. Before anything else can be accomplished, the perfect theme, one that will please her grace beyond measure, should be determined, so that all party decoration supplies coordinate together.

Personalized invitations, menus, table decorations, activities, birthday party games and matching party favors will each add a touch of style and flair to the grand and wonderful celebration. Every detail should be considered including lighting decorations, balloons and even gift wrap supplies.

Decorating for a Princess Party

Begin by layering sheer, shimmering gossamer fabric all over the room, designing special photo corners, tying bows around chairs, covering unsightly areas and creating a soft and welcoming ambience for your majesty.

Determine the menu and how to present your offerings. Buffet style banquets are excellent for more casual and social events, while barbecues work well for outside gatherings. Princess parties needn’t always be formal. However, the elegance of hosting a sit-down meal should be happily considered as well. Consider the classic girl’s tea party, for example.

Use garland, balloons and ribbon freely, hanging it from light fixtures, draping it over curtains and swaying it in archways and doorways. Separate party events like eating, dancing and games, allowing guests the courtesy of enjoying whatever they are doing, at any given time.

Hosting the Ultimate Girl’s Birthday Party

It’s the little things that make all the difference, when planning a girl’s birthday party. Choosing the right colors, selecting her favorite foods, presenting the “to die for” cake and playing the perfect music all contribute to the overall success of hosting a girl’s birthday party every princess will love. Girls have a way of lighting up the room when they look and feel like princesses, which is why every girl deserves to be treated like royalty on her birthday.

Decorations for a Cinderella Dreamland Party

Decorating for your Cinderella Dreamland party means a lot of girlish touches and a lot of fun.

Start your decorating with the Cinderella Dreamland Kit-N-Kaboodle. It contains tons of decorations for your party such as tableware for 8, silver star confetti, blue pearl balloons, pink pearl balloons, silver curling ribbon and a light blue tablecover. The Deluxe Kit-N-Kaboodle also includes a 10”x 30” banner, a Cinderella Dreamland mylar balloon, pink crepe streamers, azure blue crepe streamers and silver spiral candles.

Use the Kit-N-Kaboodle to create a great base for your decorations, and then let things really take off.

Add a Cinderella Dreamland Walk-through Banner to your decorations. It’s perfect for dividing space and creates a cool entryway. Hang it in a doorway for extra fun.

Really start the party off with a bang using the Castle Entrance. The pretty pink castle decoration is great for little princess to enter Cinderella’s Dreamland though. Plus, it’s fantastic for commemorative photos.

A Coloring Throne provides just the right spot for the birthday Princess to sit as she opens her gifts and thanks all her royal subjects for joining her on her special day.

Add an 8’ tall Castle Silhouette to any wall in the Kingdom…a regal decoration at a pauper’s price!

Tie bows with Sparkle Netting across the top of each chair back. The bows can be cut to any length and even look lovely with tails trailing on the floor. Make bows to hang anywhere and everywhere…chairs, doorways, tree trunks, stair rails, deck posts, gift packages or table-ends. The bows hold their shape beautifully at a fraction of the cost of wired ribbon.

Create balloon bunches in blue and pink pearl tone balloons. Tie them together with curling ribbon in clusters of odd numbers. Add a Cinderella Dreamland mylar balloon for an extra accent.

Table Decorations:

A well-decorated table can create a stunning focal point for your party and really bring all your theme decorations together.

Create a base for your Cinderella Dreamland table decorations with a Cinderella Dreamland tablecover. Over top, sprinkle silver star confetti and place a castle centerpiece or a Cinderella Dreamland Centerpiece in the middle. If you have a really long table, select a variety of fairytale centerpieces and place three spaced out evenly across the top of the table.

Next, set the Cinderella Dreamland tableware at each placesetting. The tableware ensemble includes plates, cups, napkins and cutlery for each guest. Place each placesetting on a Cinderella Dreamland placemat which has puzzles and games for guests to play.

Add little decorations to your table such as personalized Dreamy Princess Buttons, Cinderella Dreamland molded candles, and Cinderella Dreamland chalk. These items make great favors as well as decorations.

Hang a Cinderella Dreamland jointed banner behind your table to really accent the theme.

A Castle Cake for your Cinderella Dreamland Party

All the party guests will live happily-ever-after…after they consume this easy-to-make pink and gold fairy tale fantasy cake!

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
• Two packaged cake mixes
• Four 16 oz. Containers of “pink” ready-made frosting
• One “board” for displaying the cake
• 2 / 9”X13” cake pans
• 8 – regular flat-bottom ice cream cones
• 4 – sugar cones
• 1 pound of Almond (gold) Hershey’s Kisses™
• 6 – pink sugar wafers
• 2 – 6” pieces of string licorice
• 1 container of gold edible candy balls
• optional – edible iridescent glitter to sprinkle over the entire cake

Prepare and bake two 9” X 13” cakes according to directions on the package. Allow cakes to cool for 10-15 minutes.  Trim the tops of the cakes while they are still in the pans so that they will be level when inverted on the cake board.  Place cakes on wire rack until completely cooled.  Place one cake in the center of the cake board.  Use frosting, strawberry jam, or Cool Whip™ as the filling between the two layers of cake.  Place the second cake on top of the first cake.  Frost the entire rectangular cake with pink frosting.

Frost 8 regular ice cream cones with pink frosting, and connect four sets of two by the base of the cones.  The bottom cone will be turned upside down, and the top cone will be right side up.  After frosting the cones, place one set at each corner of the cake – instant turrets!  Frost 4 sugar cones with pink frosting, and liberally sprinkle with gold edible balls.  Add the “spires” to the top of each turret.  Place three pink sugar wafers in the front of the castle as the castle door (simply press gently into the frosting).  Place three additional wafers at the base of the “door”.  Attach licorice strings from the top of the door wafers, to the edge of the wafers on the cake board, and the “drawbridge” is complete.  Outline the top of the cake and the bottom edge of the castle with golden kisses.  Golden candles complete the cake!

If you are serving more people than can be accommodated by 2 boxed mixes (24-28 people), we recommend that you simply bake extra cupcakes, or an extra rectangular cake.  All can just be frosted simply in matching pink frosting, and cut and served behind the scenes.

Food:
• Serve dainty finger sandwiches, strawberries dipped in chocolate, and mini cutout sugar cookies.
• Use our purple, gold or iridescent shimmer stars to label food dishes.  Come up with creative names related to the theme.  Label diamond shaped J-ello™ Jigglers as the “Crown Jewels”; a pink punch as “Palace Potion”; mini sandwiches as “Princess Puffs”; hot dogs as “Dragon Dogs” (serve with the new green ketchup!), etc.
• Serve food on gold or silver platters.  If you are using plastic metallic trays, glue a few faux jewels to the outside edge.
• Garnish food with edible loose-leaf gold, and add a sprinkling of tiny edible gold balls to each child’s serving of ice cream.
• Serve dry snacks (chips, pretzels, Cheese Puffs) in crowns turned upside down.
• As the excitement is so high at most children’s birthday parties, most children under the age of 10 or 11 will eat very little, and the waste can be disheartening.  Schedule your party during a time when parents will not expect that their children will eat a meal…and serve only cake, ice cream, and a few other dainty munchies.
