Invitations and Slogans for a My Little Pony Birthday Party

A My Little Pony birthday party is a fun theme for little girls or big girls with a taste for nostalgia. Once you’ve picked My Little Pony for the theme of your party, choose a party slogan you can use in invitations, custom banners and personalized favors. Here are our ideas:
• RSVP Yay! or Neigh for Molly’s My Little Pony Party
• Sarah’s My Little Pony Party will be Big Fun!
• Come on over to Ponyville for Rachel’s My Little Pony birthday!

After you’ve selected your slogan, create invitations to send out to your guests.

The My Little Pony Party Kit includes a My Little Pony paper invitation you can write your party details on and send in the mail. Include a pinch of iridescent star confetti for extra fun.

If you can hand-deliver invitations, make them on the computer and attach them with curling ribbon to favors such as a flower gel pen, My Little Pony figurine or a pair of heart sunglasses.

Decorations for a Lovely My Little Pony Party

Decorate for your My Little Pony with bright colors and coordinating accents. Start off your decorating with the My Little Pony Party Kit.

The My Little Pony Party Kit includes My Little Pony tableware, invitations/ thank you cards, iridescent star confetti, pink pearl balloons, blue pearl balloons, cerise curling ribbon, and a pink plastic tablecover. The Deluxe Kit also includes a 10”x30” personalized vinyl banner, My Little Pony crepe streamers, 18” My Little Pony heart shaped mylar balloon, and purple crepe streamers.

You can coordinate the rest of your decorations to the My Little Pony Party Kit for a fun, polished look.

Add a My Little Pony illustrated letter banner to your entrance or behind the cake table for a fun birthday message. A Dreamy Princess personalized vinyl banner also makes a great accent. You can welcome guests to your party with the banner, printed on heavy-duty, weather-resistant vinyl and custom printed just for you.

Create a backdrop for your decorations using pink gossamer or cloud patterned gossamer. Gossamer decorating material is wonderful for really making your decorations pop. Use gossamer for swags, curtains, drapes or to cover walls and tables. You can even use it as gift wrap. Check out our gossamer tips for how-tos.

A silver metallic curtain is a great way to divide up space or create cool doorways at your party.

Really go all-out for your My Little Pony party. Set up the Castle Entrance decoration for a stunning entryway or focal point. Guests will love having their pictures taken next to the castle gate.

Table Decorations:

A well-decorated table is a great way to tie all of your party decorations together. You can decorate your table using the My Little Pony Party Kit and coordinating decorations.

Start by covering your table with a bright pink plastic tablecover. Over the top, sprinkle iridescent star confetti and set a My Little Pony centerpiece in the middle of the table.

Next, set each placesetting with My Little Pony party tableware. Create cutlery bundles using My Little Pony napkins or personalized napkins and curling ribbon or milky way garland to tie the bundle.

Party favors also make excellent table decorations. At each place, set a mini pastel heart candle or slip a sequin slap bracelet into the cutlery bundles, or using them as napkin rings.

There’s tons of ways you can make your My Little Pony party look delightful. Tell us your ideas!

Birthday Cake Ideas for a My Little Pony Party

No birthday party is complete without a cake! We’ve got two great cake ideas for your My Little Pony Party.

First, try a Blue Ribbon Cake for the birthday girl who is also a great horsewoman.

What you’ll need:

2 packaged cake mixes
1- 9″ x 13″ cake pan
1- 8″ round cake pan
2 or 3-15 oz. containers of ready-made white frosting
One large muffin top or Hostess Snowball (to make the center of the ribbon)
8 wafer cookies (to create the appearance of the gathering on the ribbon)
One board for displaying the cake
Blue food coloring

Bake the cakes according to the directions on the box.  After the cakes have cooled, place the round cake on the cake board, and place the 9″ x 13″ cake on a piece of waxed paper.  Cut the shape of the ribbon tail out of the 9″ x 13″ cake (you will discard some of the cake), and then place it on the cake board under the round cake.  Add the muffin top to the center of the round cake.  Place the wafer cookies on the round cake, spacing them evenly around the muffin top.   Frost the entire cake with the blue frosting.  This one is a winner!

For a different twist, try this pony cake!

What you’ll need:

2 packaged cake mixes
2- 9″ x 13″ cake pans
2-15 oz. container of ready-made chocolate frosting
1-15 oz. container of ready-made caramel frosting
One board for displaying the cake
One tube of black writing gel
1 leather shoe lace for harness
1 small piece of aluminum foil for bridle

Bake the cake according to the directions on the box.  After the cakes have cooled freeze them and when still frozen place them on a piece of waxed paper to cut into the shape of a horse’s head.  Cut the shapes according to the diagram, and then place them together on a cake board.  Frost the entire cake with the chocolate frosting.  Next, spoon caramel frosting into a large ziploc bag and seal the bag.  Snip a 1/4 inch piece from one of the bottom corners.  Pipe a mane on the horse’s head, using lots of “strands” of frosting. Use black piping gel to create the nose and the outline of an eye.  Cut pieces of leather shoe lace to create the harness, and gently place on the cake.  Add foil “bridle”.  Enjoy!

Fun and Games for a My Little Pony Birthday Party

Activities for your My Little Pony party can be tons of fun without being a big fuss. Here are our ideas for a fun My Little Pony birthday party.

Gather some of the classic My Little Pony dolls from the toychest. You can buy them for about $5 each or borrow them from friends as well. Guests can have a great time just using their imaginations and the My Little Ponies for some birthday play time.

The kids will love playing this version of a timeless favorite game with our Airblown Pin the Tail on the Donkey set.

Play this game using the same concept as the classic game of musical chairs…one less hat than there are children for each round.  Place a pile of cowboy hats on a table that the kids must walk around while the music is playing.  When the music is turned off, the kids must scramble to put on a hat. The child without a hat must leave the game, and the game continues with one less hat until there is one child remaining – the winner.

A horse piñata is a party classic. Kids will love taking a swing at the piñata, hoping to break free the candy filler. Don’t forget the piñata accessories, such as a blindfold and a piñata stick.
